WEEK 1 / WEEK 2 / WEEK 3 / WEEK 4 / ALL-STAR / WEEK 6 / WEEK 7 / WEEK 8 / WEEK 9
A week before the 2007 All-Star Game and players were making their case in showing why they should be going on to next Sunday's All-Star Game. Sunday was showcased by X-Men overcomming a thrllling victory over GNC All-Stars in overtime, Don't Fah-Get.com defeating Pops 5 in the rematch of the past two championship games and in a first at Hoops in the Sun, the nightcap between K 1 X and undefeated DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars never tipped off due to DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars not being able to get into Orchard Beach due to all 5,000 parking lot spots being taken..I guess that's what happens when it's 100 degress outside...
The last two championship games (2005 and 2006) were between Powerful Inc. (now known as Don't Fah-Get.com) and Pops 5. This has been one of the great rivalries in league history. Everytime these two teams get together, you're in for one hell of a game, and that's what happened this past Sunday afternoon. Don't Fah-Get.com were led by two former Pops 5 players, Darren "Primal Fear" Phillip with 19 points and 19 rebounds and Will "Silence of the Lambs" Cadiz with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Pops 5, without two starters Steve Burtt, Jr. (Charlotte Bobcats camp) and Keydren Clark (Utah Jazz camp) were down by as many as thirteen, tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter but playing catch-up and the near 100 degree weather looked to be too much for them. Pops 5 were led by Adris "Too Hard To Guard" DeLeon with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Pops 5 are off for the All-Star break, while Don't Fah-Get.com will meet Bck 2 Basics Saturday afternoon. Co-Director Randy Cruz on reactions to Pops 5 vs Don't Fah-Get.com: "It's always a highly anticipated game between Pops 5 and Powerful Inc. (now Don't Fah-Get.com) They met in the last two championship games and both of those were classics. There is a rivalry here between these two teams but I know deep down inside, both teams respect each other and both teams know that it's never a day off when these two teams meet. Don't Fah-Get.com showed why they're the champs by over-powering Pops 5 on the glass and playing catch-up in the heat is never a good thing. Former Pops 5 players were the key in their victory with Cadiz and Phillip going against their old mates. Pops 5 were without Steve Burtt, Jr and Keydren Clark, two potential all-stars and I think that's what hurt them."

Nate Brown of X-Men, pictured here, was making a case Sunday afternoon as potentially being involved in the 2007 All-Star Game this Sunday. Probably not the flashiest or most notable player, but he comes through when he has to. For example, X-Men, who were coming in this game at 3-0 were against GNC All-Stars, who were also looking for their first W of the season. GNC All-Stars were down by as many as 15 points at one point, and eventually took the lead in the 4th quarter and were up by 2 points with 12 seconds to go in the game. With X-Men in possession, coach Dartanya Nixon, aka "Professor X" let his PG Nate Brown take the final shot and which he did, and making it sending the game into overtime, the first O'T game of the season. The veteran X-Men were able to capture the W in overtime from the GNC All-Stars who gave a valiant effort. Nixon, apparently saw GNC All-Stars as Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants, feeling the urge to protect his team and his record from the world of these mutant threats. Going 3-1 wouldn't have been the end of the world, but 4-0 does sound better. (View box score)
Co-Director Randy Cruz on reactions to X-Men vs GNC All-Stars: "X-Men were on the verge of losing their first regular season game in almost a year and a half. Going 9-0 in the regular season last summer and 3-0 prior to Sunday's game, they've shown why they're probably the best "team" in the league. Not full of big name talent, but they play hard and know each other very well. GNC All-Stars were hungry for their first W of the season. On the reversal, GNC All-Stars were looking for their first victory in almost a year and a half. Going 0-9 last summer and 0-3 already, they wanted to end that streak. But it's not easy ending a streak against a team like X-Men. Even though X-Men were up by 15, GNC made one hell of a comeback and looked as if they were going to pull off a major upset. But in the end, a veteran team shows how to win and take over ball games and that's what they did in overtime. "
The Court Masters and DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars were on a collision course of the undefeated's and Kenny "Serious Satellite" Satterfield just proves again why he is probably the best prolific scorer in the league
Kenny "Serious Satellite" Satterfield just continues to tear up the stat sheets week in and week out. He hasn't scored less than 31 this entire season, which is why he averages 37.5 ppg this season. He continued his scoring tear Saturday afternoon vs Enterprise, with Satterfield leading the way with 49 points, the 2007 season high so far. Enterprise didn't have an answer for him the entire afternoon. Enterprise were led by their scoring leader and more than likely All-Star, Mike Keyes with 26 points. Expect to see both Serious Satellite and Mike Keyes this Sunday at the All-Star Game. (View box score)
Co-Director Randy Cruz on reactions to PR Pride vs Enterprise: " Kenny is just a monster. Plain and simple. Can easily give you 20, 30, 40, 50, even 60 and he proved that last summer by scoring 62 points. Anyone that can score 62 points in 90+ degree weather is an animal. An animal that loves the heat like a cheetah is exactly what Kenny is. When the heat is on, you can forget about it. It's becomming a common thing where people just asks how much he had or did Kenny get 30 today? You know what to expect from him and Enterprise got a heavy dosage of it. 49 points on a hot and hazy Saturday afternoon...unstoppable."
Court Masters and DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars were on a collision course in a battle of the undefeated's. One will be victorious. One would go home with their first L. As it turned out, DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars remained undefeated by defeating the Court Masters Saturday afternoon. Court Masters, led by their All-Star guard Dwight "Die Hard" Hardy with 31 points and the hustle play of Geddes Robinson with 21 points and 16 rebounds, wasn't enough to defeat DDN. DDN were led by last year's All-Star MVP Mick "Miles High" Miles with 32 points and 14 rebounds. The 6'7 slinky forward proved to be too much for the young Court Masters. DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars have another date with an undefeated team, X-Men, and that will take place on Saturday afternoon.

Co-Director Randy Cruz on reactions to Court Masters vs DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars: "Court Masters hung in there for majority of the game. They were never out of the game, especially when Hardy is scoring from all over the court and Geddes is grabbing every rebound in sight. DDN were up by alot but they let Court Masters back into the game but a veteran team like DDN is, they kept their composure and remained calm about the situation at hand. Miles had a great game by carrying his team, without McFarlan and John Strickland, the former All-Star MVP showed what he can do, and that performance might ahave punched his ticket into Sunday's All-Star Game "
