"THE CAB DRIVER" SPEED LIMITS TO 65 POINTS, BREAKING HOOPS IN THE SUN'S SCORING RECORD
As if the start of the 2008 season couldn't explode out the gates even crazier, Saturday afternoon put the stamp of approval on it.

Last week, R2K's second year sensation Dwight Hardy scored 54 points vs Money Train. This week, Bingo's All-Star rookie "The Cab Driver", took it to a whole new level. Hardy's 54 points wasn't the only point total in danger. The point total that was in extreme danger was the 62 points that "Serious Satellite" Kenny Satterfield posted up back in 2006, which, until yesterday, was the record for most points scored by a player in the league.

Like the old saying goes, records are made to be broken, but this record, 62 points, seemed unreachable for the past two seasons. Bingo's All-Stars went up against PR Pride/K1X in what is being labeled as an instant classic, where on the other side of the spectrum, Ira Miller of PR Pride, posted up fantasy beast numbers as well, with 55 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. A western shootout you can call it but never in the history of the league ( except maybe the 2007 All-Star Game ) has there been a game like this, where players would come down the court and hack up shot after shot after shot. New NY Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni would've loved both teams' offense as they were shooting in seven seconds or less. It was an incredible display of talents by both teams, and we didn't mention the other players that were involved in this classic, such as "EZ Pass" and Keydren Clark.  

Bingo' All-Stars went on to defeat PR Pride/K1X 134-125."The Cab Driver" broke the HITS scoring record held by "Serious Satellite" Kenny Satterfield for the past two seasons with under two minutes remaining on two free throw shots. Yeah, they sent him to the line! In the end, "The Cab Driver" solidified scoring supremacy with 65 points, also adding 13 rebounds in the process. If that wasn't enough, he also now owns the HITS record for most points scored by a player in half with 43 points scored in the second half, as well as the HITS record for most points scored by a player in a quarter, 28 points. More records? Bingo's All-Stars and PR Pride/K1X combined for the most total points in a game (259), breaking Pops 5 vs Back 2 Basics' record from 2006, and Bingo's All-Stars scored the most points by a team (134), breaking Pops 5's record of 133 from 2006.
