Bobby Ciafardini, known as Bobby Cey, as well as the "Marv Albert of the Streets" has served as Hoops in the Sun's main commentator since June of 2001. Recruited by Joe "Pops" Cruz while Cey was announcing a Lehman College basketball game, Cruz Sr. pictured Cey as the guy who had the professionalism, intelligence and uncanny word play that would elevate the league to a higher standard. Cey has been notoriously known for knowing the history and background on the players who participate in the league, as well as his catchy phrases from "Oh Doctor" to "Taking it to the tin" and "Thriving, Conniving and Mesmorizing." When it comes to commentating a game - from a Regular Season to an All-Star and to a Championship Game, there isn't anyone who calls a game better than the HITS Hall of Famer - the "Coolest White Boy In The Room."
